From: Capper Pete Bell

All daily plays will be tweeted pregame or if you are a Friend of The Program your picks will be emailed.

I've actually found it much easier and more reliable to tweet FREE plays vs. sign on to blogger or wordpress and put together a post. I will still blog about games and post pregame plays when I can.
I will still document all public picks here as well.

Thanks for all of your positive feedback and best of luck!

Capper Pete Bell's Picks - 11/15/12

Don't normally post ML plays (and I don't count ML plays in terms of records)... I just personally bet Heat ML and took a screen shot and didn't want to crop it out from the other plays.

Thursday Night NFL Script - 10/25/12

I know these two teams well... so I decided to parlay it. Short week for the Thursday night game can bring abnormal results. I didn't go that hard on it.

CPB's Sunday Recap - 10/21/12

Coming into Sunday we were riding a serious winning streak. 8 in a row to be exact.
Our roll continued when Green Bay covered -6 pretty easily against the Rams. Giving up a garbage time TD and still winning by 10. Our winning streak hits 9.
Andrew Luck -1.5 against Cleveland was our next game to go final. The Colts held off a late drive by Cleveland to win and cover. Our weekend win streak reached double digits.
Next up was Dallas -2 at Carolina. The game went back and forth. I knew it would come down to the end. Dallas was winning by 2 at the 2-minute warning. I thought the PUSH was coming. Then Carolina made a defensive stand and Dallas was forced to kick a FG to go up 5, and cover.
After the first slate of NFL games our perfect weekend continued at 11-0.
Only 2 games on the afternoon schedule. I couldn't get a read on the Jets or Patriots (Jets +11.5 at kickoff and only lost by 3). Anyway, I know the Jags are terrible and the Raiders -6 seemed good to me. I looked into it and decided to ride with Parson Calmer. Jacksonville started out strong. I had a bad feeling. I knew my streak would end with my lapse in judgement... betting on Oakland. The game went into overtime and I thought, maybe the Raiders will get the ball first and throw deep to Denarius Moore. Jacksonville won the toss, didn't score. A few plays later, Janikowski hits the game winner for the Raiders... but they fail to cover. The streak ends at 11.
3-1 for the NFL day. Winning weekend!

                     11-1 since Friday night.

Capper Pete Bell - Quality Prescriptions

Saturday, October 20, 2012-
After looking over more than 40 spreads, I settled on 8 that I would actually take the plunge and put my hard-earned money on.
I got the ball rolling with Syracuse at home -5 on Friday night vs UConn. I was a little worried, considering I read an article about how only 3% of lines end up sitting at 5. That random stat didn't throw off the fact Ryan Nassib was playing QB for Syracuse. Getting that win started off the weekend on a high note.
Then came, $aturday. I had action on 7 games throughout the day. Naturally, I was up late on Friday night looking at the lines and locked in on a few that shifted in my favor by kickoff.
The first game of the day was a good example. I was able to lock Wisconsin -16 and by kickoff some books were offering -18. Minnesota was rolling out a kid who had never taken a snap in a college game. That was almost a no-brainer for me. Wisconsin jumped around and we covered.
We moved on with Rutgers. The Knights were playing Temple. Rutgers only needed to cover 4 points. They are ranked and it's Temple. Enough said. Rutgers covered by 21.5. We move to 3-0.
Next up to start off the afternoon slate was BYU +13 @ ND. I haven't seen much offense from ND and 13 is about all they can score. Plus, BYU is not a joke. Notre Dame barely held on to win the game straight up, 17-14. BYU covered easily. We are now rolling 4 straight!
Florida -3.5 at home against The Old Ball Coach and South Carolina was our next selection. Lattimore is banged up. Florida is at home. Florida has more talent. Florida won by 33. Check, please. That's 5 in a row.
Next came one of my favorite teams this year, University of Louisiana-Monroe. They came into the game 5-1 ATS this season. I have been loving them. However, they were playing Western Kentucky, the Kings of Covers. Western Kentucky had covered 14 straight games. Amazing. I still rolled with Kolton Browning and ULM +3.5. I had a chance to buy a point and did so to keep the push alive at 4.
ULM won SU by 1 point. Another classic cover by ULM this year.
We move to 6-0 for the weekend.
The night games started and Miami took the stage +21 at home against Florida State. I've been watching this rivalry for as long as I can remember. 21 just seemed disrespectful to this game. After some research I decided to roll with the Canes. Miami held on to cover by 1 point, losing by 20. We slide to 7-0 heading into our final pick.
Oregon State -10 was last up to close the door on our perfect college football weekend. Oregon State is benefiting from the spillover effect of the Oregon Ducks being so deep. I thought they would try to make a statement at home. They have their QB in the lineup again. They just crushed BYU. I thought 10 was a good bet. The Beavers had to hold off a couple garbage time drives by Utah trying to come in the back door and ruin my perfect day. Oregon State shut it down and we covered for a perfect weekend.
8-0. 7-0 on Saturday. Perfect College Football Weekend.

Capper Pete Bell's Saturday Recap - 10/20/12

Last night I posted Top Picks for today, 10/20/12. The results from those games are in... Friends of The Program finish with a PERFECT 5-0 record.
Adding the Friday night pick of Syracuse -5, posted on twitter @CapperPeteBell Friday afternoon.
That brings our Friends of The Program college football record this weekend to 6-0.
