CPB's Sunday Recap - 10/21/12

Coming into Sunday we were riding a serious winning streak. 8 in a row to be exact.
Our roll continued when Green Bay covered -6 pretty easily against the Rams. Giving up a garbage time TD and still winning by 10. Our winning streak hits 9.
Andrew Luck -1.5 against Cleveland was our next game to go final. The Colts held off a late drive by Cleveland to win and cover. Our weekend win streak reached double digits.
Next up was Dallas -2 at Carolina. The game went back and forth. I knew it would come down to the end. Dallas was winning by 2 at the 2-minute warning. I thought the PUSH was coming. Then Carolina made a defensive stand and Dallas was forced to kick a FG to go up 5, and cover.
After the first slate of NFL games our perfect weekend continued at 11-0.
Only 2 games on the afternoon schedule. I couldn't get a read on the Jets or Patriots (Jets +11.5 at kickoff and only lost by 3). Anyway, I know the Jags are terrible and the Raiders -6 seemed good to me. I looked into it and decided to ride with Parson Calmer. Jacksonville started out strong. I had a bad feeling. I knew my streak would end with my lapse in judgement... betting on Oakland. The game went into overtime and I thought, maybe the Raiders will get the ball first and throw deep to Denarius Moore. Jacksonville won the toss, didn't score. A few plays later, Janikowski hits the game winner for the Raiders... but they fail to cover. The streak ends at 11.
3-1 for the NFL day. Winning weekend!

                     11-1 since Friday night.

Final weekend NFL record- 3-1
